Screensaver screenshots

The screensaver on my Mac is set to grab whatever it wishes from my pictures folder, marrying together images I’d never dream of viewing side by side. Some are processed, others aren’t. Many have been used already whilst a fair few have never previously seen the light of day. Anyway, this morning I sat in front of the Mac snapping away with my iPhone, taking pictures of the ever-changing screensaver.

Perhaps Susan Sontag was right when she said “Today everything exists to end in a photograph”, even a screensaver. Then again, she also said that “Industrial societies turn their citizens into image-junkies; it is the most irresistible form of mental pollution” - and both can be true at the same time, of course…

There’s a tiny bit of method behind the madness of me posting these screensavers - I’m trying to get back into a habit of blogging more than once every 12 or 18 months…
