Vents

Early on I was instinctively attracted to lines and symmetry and it wasn’t long before I realised that vents, of all things, were often the best receptacle for some of the best examples. And then my curious bent was intrigued to discover structures that I’d never even realised were vents. The very best example is a structure on the edge of Paternoster Square, designed by Thomas Heatherwick and used as a vent for an underground electrical substation. There are several on show below and even more here.
